    Coastal Nomads require GPRS coverage — typically shoreline to approximately 7 miles offshore.

    What are the costs of operating Coastal buoys?

    Coastal Nomads include two years of communications in the price. No subscription, no setup fees.

    How long does it take to recharge the batteries?

    Between 6 and 24 hours, depending on the level of discharge.

    Can I add additional sensors to the buoy?

    Barometric pressure and water temperature are standard additions. Contact SouthTEK for other sensor options.

    How many times can I reuse the buoys?

    Buoys with high-quality Lithium Polymer batteries can be reused an innumerable number of times.
